In September 2016 Cochrane Nutrition presented a workshop on evidence-informed nutrition at the National Nutrition Congress in Somerset West outside Cape Town.

Through an interactive approach, the workshop addressed the principles of evidence‐informed nutrition, understanding the differences between systematic and traditional narrative reviews, and on how to read and interpret systematic reviews.

The workshop was attended by stakeholders from national government and the private and academic sectors.
