Cornell University is hosting a virtual format of the Summer Institute this year, which brings together experts from the World Health Organization (WHO), Cochrane, and Cornell University to train participants in the development of systematic reviews of nutrition interventions in populations. Applicants to the 2020 Summer Institute, which was cancelled due to the pandemic, were selected to attend the first virtual format in 2021.

The 2018 Journal Impact Factor for Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews has risen to 7.755! In 2018, a Cochrane Review was cited on average, once every 8 minutes.

As part of the 25th Cochrane Colloquium, Cochrane Nutrition organised a community meeting that aimed to 1) raise awareness about Cochrane Nutrition, its objectives and key activities, 2) spark people’s interest to become contributors of the Field, and 3) gather ideas for new activities or projects linked to Cochrane Nutrition objectives.

Cochrane Nutrition is collaborating and actively contributing to an evidence collection on moderate and severe acute malnutrition in humanitarian settings, along with other contributors, including Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), Save the Children, Action Against Hunger, Emergency Nutrition Network, UN World Food Programme, CHAIN, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and WHO.
